At Emulua Child Food for Life Community-Based Organisation, we believe that every child deserves access to proper nutrition, healthcare, and a safe environment to grow and thrive. As a grassroots initiative, we focus on combating malnutrition, improving agricultural sustainability, supporting children’s rights, and providing emergency relief to vulnerable families. Our commitment extends beyond just providing food; we empower communities through healthcare support, climate-smart agriculture, and sustainable development programs.
With the support of dedicated partners like Alba Care Foundation and Lakamissionen International, we have been able to provide enriched porridge flour to malnourished children, ensuring they receive the essential nutrients they need. Our village outreach clinics work closely with the Ministry of Health to deliver Antiretroviral (ARV) medication to children born with HIV/AIDS, alongside their parents. This integrated approach ensures that children grow up in a healthier environment, reducing mortality rates and enhancing overall well-being.
Our agricultural programs emphasize food security and climate resilience.
We educate families on improved farming techniques such as intercropping, composting, and growing drought-resistant crops like cassava, millet, and sorghum. By incorporating tree planting and nitrogen-fixing shrubs, we help restore soil fertility, combat erosion, and contribute to environmental conservation.
We also prioritize children’s rights and social protection by addressing issues of abuse, violence, and neglect. Through training and advocacy, we empower communities to uphold and protect the rights of vulnerable children and women. Additionally, we facilitate emergency response initiatives, rebuilding homes destroyed by floods, distributing essential supplies, and providing livelihood support to affected families.
Our vision is to create a self-sufficient, resilient community where every child has a fair chance at life. Through partnerships, education, and hands-on support, we continue to bring hope and transformation to the families we serve.
